Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of SlaySlop ("SlaySlop", "we", "us"), including our website, dashboards, APIs, teaser scans, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, starting a scan, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

These documents are product starter templates. Have qualified counsel review them before relying on them in production. Governing law and venue remain TBD pending SlaySlop's registered legal entity.

The Service

SlaySlop provides automated website quality audits and monitoring. Typical coverage includes SEO, performance, security posture signals, accessibility-related checks, content and crawl insights, uptime probes, and related findings.

Scan results, scores, and recommendations are informational. They are not a guarantee of security, compliance, legal fitness, or that every issue on a site has been found. You remain responsible for validating findings and for decisions you make based on them.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including seats, API keys, webhooks, and shared report or portal links you create.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or that present risk to the Service or other users.

Sites you scan

You may only scan websites you own or are authorized to assess. Domain verification may be required for deeper or more aggressive checks. Unauthorized scanning of third-party properties is prohibited.

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with applicable law, contracts, and the policies of the sites you monitor.

Plans, trials, and billing

Paid plans, trials, and usage limits are described on the pricing page and in-product. Billing is handled through our payment provider. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated otherwise.

If a subscription lapses or payment fails, we may limit features, pause monitoring, or eventually delete workspace data according to our retention practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Your use must also comply with our Acceptable Use Policy at /acceptable-use. We may investigate suspected abuse and take action we reasonably consider appropriate.

Intellectual property

SlaySlop and its software, branding, and documentation remain our property. You retain ownership of your site content and the data you submit.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for your internal business purposes while your account is in good standing. You grant us a license to process submitted URLs, crawl results, and account data as needed to operate and improve the Service.

Third-party services

The Service may rely on infrastructure and subprocessors such as hosting, email, analytics (with consent), and payment processing. Their availability and terms can affect the Service.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

We do not warrant that scans will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or free of false positives or false negatives.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlaySlop and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.

Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify SlaySlop against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, unauthorized scanning, or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
